French "Richelieu" Class |
| The Richelieu class (Richelieu, Jean Bart, Clemenceau) was the successor of the Dunkerque class fast battleships with a stronger armament. The Richelieu had been completed in 1940 just before the occupation of France by the German army. The Jean Bart shouldn't be captured and was transferred to Casablanca where she was completed in 1955. The Clemenceau was scrapped by the Germans. |
